Here are a few simple ways to cook with Liberian Epicure spices.

Just mix

  • 3 lbs of your protein of choice

  • Liberian Epicure Ground Pea Soup Mix

  • 5 cups water

Simmer until your protein is fully cooked and your stew thickens.

Suya Maple BBQ Chicken

No need to reach for multiple spice jars.

We bring delicious umami flavor to your kitchen.

Coat

  • 3 lbs of chicken with Smoky Maple Suya BBQ Rub

  • Grill or bake until caramelized and internal temperature of the thickest part is 165 degrees.

Let cooked chicken rest 10 minutes and enjoy.

Note: Add more salt if desired, but make sure to balance it with sugar, to round out the harshness of the salt. We recommend keeping the salt to sugar ratio at 70-75% salt to 25-30% sugar.

Chia Fritter
  • Add ½ cup of almond milk to 1 cup of Chia-Infused Kala-Fritter.

Mix thoroughly.

  • Let batter rest for 10 minutes.

  • Fry 1 TBS portions in hot oil until golden brown.

  • Serve with maple syrup or savory chutney.

Jollof Rice Made Simple

No chopping vegetables.

No extended prep.

Bloom 1/2 -3/4c Master Jollof Sauce in 1/2c hot oil for ~30 seconds.

Add

  • 3.5 cups of parboiled rice

  • 3 cups of broth of choice

Simmer until the liquid absorbs and the rice is tender.

ENJOY

Golden Shortbread
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.

  • In a bowl, combine 2 cup Golden Shortbread Mix, 3 tbs melted butter, 2 tbs oil, and 6 tbs ice-cold water.

  • Gently mix until the batter is smooth and fully combined—do not overmix.

  • Let batter rest for 10 minutes.

  • Transfer to an oiled baking pan and bake until golden brown, about 18–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
